Our waiting list is long unfortunately so will be a few months wait minimum.

If you would like to put your child on our waiting list, please email us with their name and age to begymnasticsclub@gmail.com

Do classes run in the holidays?

Yes, our regular classes run all year apart from a break at Christmas. We offer additional workshops in the holidays so gymnasts can take part in specific skill workshops.

Class dates can be found on your invoices. Classes do not run on bank holidays.

Does my child/I have to have insurance to attend regular classes?

Yes, all gymnasts attending regular classes with us must have annual British Gymnastics insurance. Insurance is £20 October to October for all gymnasts (a higher level of insurance is required for our squad gymnasts competing at the top club levels/national levels). The link to register for this is below:

Please ensure you put our club name as Be… Gymnastics (with the dots).

Do we offer trial sessions?

Yes, the first class is always a trial! The trial fee is the price of a one-off class and to be paid in advance.

After the trial, please pop us a message or email as soon as possible to let us know if your child would like to continue so that we can sort out an invoice for you.

If we do not hear from you, then the space may be offered to someone else.

When are fees paid and how often?

Our fees are due monthly and an invoice is emailed out around a week before the end of the month (usually around the 23rd) for the next month. Fees can be paid by BACS, Paypal or cash. If you have any issues, please let us know as soon as possible.

What is tumbling?

Tumbling is a newer discipline of gymnastics which involves linking skills such as cartwheels, round offs, flicks, somersaults on a strip of sprung floor or tumble track. You often see elements of tumbling in gymnastic floor routines at competitions, on the tv or at the Olympics!

Tumblers are usually very fast and powerful but tend to have less flexibility than artistic/acrobatic gymnasts.

Am I too old to start gymnastics?

No! You are never too old to start gymnastics. We offer three adult gymnastics classes (age 17+) each week with a range of abilities and ages. Our adult classes cover basics floor skills, conditioning, flexibility and then developing onto more advanced floor and tumbling skills.

Our adult gymnastics classes are pretty chilled out and able to be adapted if you have an injury or struggle with an area specifically. We can also help you to learn a specific skill if you wish, just ask!

Do we have bars and beams?

No, we are a floor-based gymnastics and tumbling club so we focus on floor skills such as rolls, handstands, headstands and cartwheels and develop onto harder skills like flicks, handsprings and somersaults.

We do have equipment to help our gymnasts learn skills and have fun such as springboards, blocks, a trampette, a 15m air track and an 18m tumble track!

We are the currently the only gymnastics club in Eastbourne with a permanent tumble track!

Do our gymnasts work towards badges?

Yes our preschool, recreational, homeschool, advanced and squad gymnasts all work towards the new British Gymnastics Rise Award Scheme. We aim to test all gymnasts every couple of months to see their progress!

Can my child join the tumbling squad?

Our tumble squad is through selection only as the competitive pathway in tumbing is very tricky.

If your child is interested then we are happy to assess them through photos and videos to see if they would be suitable to trial in the squad.

Am I able to watch my child’s gymnastics class?

Yes, we have a small viewing area upstairs so you can watch your child’s class if you would like to!

Do you have to be a member of our club to attend our holiday workshops?

No of course not! Our workshops are open to both members and non-members and perfect for beginner and advanced gymnasts and dancers.

What governing body is our club registered with?

We are registered with British Gymnastics for all aspects of our club, both recreationally and competitively. All our coaches (and helpers over 16yrs) are insured, enhanced DBS checked and safeguard trained by British Gymnastics too.
